Our Product Development team are particularly experienced with respiratory inhalers (DPI, pMDI, BAI, SMI) and auto injector devices. We support the design, development and manufacture of nasal drug delivery systems, enteral feed systems, insulin pumps, catheter ports, heart valves and water purification systems and generate IP for our clients on many of these programs.


Product Development

Prior PLM support the design and development of a multitude of medical device products. Our Product Development team are particularly experienced with respiratory inhalers (DPI, pMDI, BAI, SMI) and auto injector devices. We support the design development and manufacture of nasal drug delivery systems, enteral feed systems, insulin pumps, catheter ports, heart valves and water purification systems. We generate IP for our clients on many of these programs. 

We work with our clients through every stage of the development cycle from concept generation and early feasibility studies through EVT/DVT and user evaluations, clinical studies and on to rapid scale-up and production support. Prior PLM can provide in market supported including Design file management and returns investigations.

Testing and Design for Manufacture

Product testing is conducted in on site labs to verify and validate product design and expedite development and verification. 

Our grounding in injection moulding gives us a deep knowledge of plastics and Design For Manufacture, important considerations for the mechanical performance of any device. 

Collaborating with our manufacturing and metrology divisions, we can rapidly prototype high-fidelity components in production-grade polymers to production-representative quality. This allows designs to iterate quickly and support clinical trials as we offer cleanroom moulding if required.
