Expertise
Prior PLM Medical supports the design and development of a multitude of medical device products. Our Product Development team are particularly experienced with respiratory inhalers (DPI, pMDI, BAI, SMI) and auto injector devices. We support the design, development and manufacture of nasal drug delivery systems, enteral feed systems, insulin pumps, catheter ports, artificial heart valves and water purification systems. We generate IP for our clients on many of these programs.
Development Cycle
We work with our clients through every single stage of the development cycle, from concept generation, early feasibility studies through EVT/DVT, user evaluations, clinical studies and on to rapid scale-up and production support. Prior PLM Medical can provide in-market support, including Design File Management and device returns investigations. Product testing is conducted using our on-site labs to verify and validate product design and expedite development and verification activities.
Component Design
Our bedrock in injection mould design and manufacture gives us a deep knowledge of moulded plastics and Design For Manufacture, which are fundamental considerations for the mechanical performance of any device. Collaborating with our manufacturing, moulding and metrology divisions, we can rapidly prototype high-fidelity components in production-grade polymers. This allows designs to iterate quickly and support clinical trials as we offer cleanroom moulding if required.
